This is OHRID — Ohrid Tee carries the spirit of Macedonia’s most treasured lake. Perched on a cliff above the crystal waters of Lake Ohrid — a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the oldest lakes in Europe, estimated at over three million years old — the Church of St. John at Kaneo has watched over this coastline since the 13th century.
Ohrid has long been known as the ‘Pearl of the Balkans,’ a name as much about its natural beauty as its tradition of handmade pearl jewelry, born from the lake itself. Our design honors both — church, coastline, and pearls woven together in a single piece.
The front carries a small Origin 41|21 wordmark. The back features the full Ohrid design — ‘Pearl of the Balkans’ — with the Church of St. John at Kaneo rising above the lake, framed in pearls, and finished with ‘This is Macedonia.’
